Fall 2024 Headlines: Procedurals, Sitcoms and Missing Persons

As we look at the new scripted series that broadcast networks have picked up for 2024-25, we can't help but remember the 20th anniversary of television's biggest season yet. The 2004-05 season introduced several genre-defying series whose influence on TV storytelling is still felt – all but one were based on original ideas: Lost, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Home , The Office and Veronica Mars .
